It really is true that standing up straight can make you look thinner. It also makes you feel better, and allows your internal organs to 'breathe' properly.
So stand up, roll both shoulders backwards and stop when you get to where you feel a slight stretch across your chest. Now, pull your abdominal muscles in, but don't forget to breathe...this is possible to do with a little bit of practice.
